Christmas Snowman at AYLI

Good Morning Everyone,
Before I do anything else, I need to say a HUGE thank you for all of your lovely comments and good wishes that you sent for my mum. I'm so relieved to be able to tell you that she has come home. She has to rest and take things easy. The main worry is her eyesight - she has been left partially blind. It might come back, or it might not. I can't go and visit her yet as due to coronavirus we are in tier 2 in York and I work in a school so don't want to risk passing anything on. Just so happy she is back home with my dad!
Right...onto crafty things....It's time for a new challenge at As You Like It. This fortnight the theme is...

Blue and ?
Which colour would you put with blue and don't forget to tell us why!

I've used this gorgeous little snowman from Lili of the Valley for today's card - Christmas Snowman 3

I've coloured him with promarkers and teh background paper is an old pad from Little Clare's. I've used a Creative Expressions winter tree die, die namics picket fence die, and Crafters Companion snowflake die.

We are sponsored by the fabulous Lee Holland.

I'd like to enter the following challenges:-

Thanks for taking the time to visit my little blog today and for all your comments and encouragement. I'm going to try and catch up with everyone over the next few days.

I’m sorry to read about your Mum Lorraine but pleased to hear that she’s now home again. It’s a worrying time, I know and it must be so hard for you not being able to see her yet but we must do what we need to to keep each other safe. My Dad had a stroke, so I understand what you must be going through and I wish you well. Sending you a big virtual hug xx. Your card is beautiful, superb colouring and layout too. Take care and stay safe x

So glad your Mum is OK.
I'm in York too and we have been pretty much advised halloween is cancelled as far as treats etc. but I'm sure all the lovely LOTV wizards and witches will come out to play soon.

So good to hear that your Mum is home and improving, I do hope her sight will come back. Awful that you can't visit her, but you just can't take that risk, so difficult.

Oh Lorraine, I am so pleased your Mum is ok, I have been praying for her. I hope her eyesight comes back. It is awful that we can not see our family, especially at a time like this.
Your card is as gorgeous as ever sweetie.

Blue is a perfect colour to carry through the cold and frosty colours Lorraine.

So pleased to read the update on your Mum, it's is tough not being able to see her, but at least you now she is safe. Her sight might improve with time, it's amazing what you can adjust to. A year ago when I got the devastating news about my vision I thought that would be it for me with crafting, but the body has amazing powers of adjustment.

Enjoy half term (assuming you have it this coming week same as us).

Hi Lorraine

So pleased to read your Mum is home. I wish her a speedy and full recovery. Hopefully it won’t be long until you can visit, but in the meantime I am sure your Dad will be doing his best to take care of her.
