Baby Balnket

Good Morning Everyone,
Last Friday morning my lovely Hubby drove all the way to Leeds so that I could visit the LOTV shop and I have to say ... it's GORGEOUS!! The rooms are very bright, there's a lovely atmosphere  and it's bursting with crafty stash!
I met the lovely Anne and the fabulous Dawny P too! I also had the best carrot cake I've had in ages!! lol
I bought one or two new stamps, two or three pads of paper and some dies!! I had to keep hold of a few pennies as I'm hoping to go to the Great Northern Papercrafting Extravaganza in Harrogate next week!!
I made today's card with one of the stamps I bought. This is 'Baby Blanket'.
She's coloured with promarkers. Most of you know that I colour quite dark so to keep just a hint of colour was very hard!!

I've used a 'daisy and swirls' embossing folder and finished with a bit of ribbon and some bling from my stash
I'd like to enter the following challenges:-
Lillies Little Fairies Challenge- White with a hint of colour
Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes

I also bought one of the new little Geisha girl stamps. I'm making a card 'just for fun' with this one but it's taking me longer than I thought!! lol It could be the end of the week before you actually see it!!
Thanks for visiting me today and for all your lovely comments. I'll be round to visit you all later!

Joanna Sheen DT Application

Hello Everyone,

A little while ago I applied for a DT position on the Joanna Sheen Challenge Blog.  A couple of weeks ago I was really shocked to find out that I'd been shortlisted to the final 12!!

All the 12 finalists have made a card which can be found on the Joanna Sheen Challenge blog. The comments section will be open for one week so you can leave your views on the entries, before a final decision is made.

Wish me luck!

Walk the Plank!

Good Evening Everyone,
Well, the best day for a week and I've been stuck in an office all day! Oh well, I decided to try and finish my card for the challenge at Lillies Little Fairies. When I saw the challenge was 'anything but a square' my initial reaction was sheer horror! I don't have a large die cutting machine only a little cuttlebug so what could I do??
After numerous attempts that ended in the bin I decided to colour an image first! I chose 'Walk the Plank' and what does every pirate need?..... a ship! So that's what I tried to do.....
I started with a 6" square piece of card, folded it in half and cut out a base. I drew the sails on a piece of card and cut them out. I used the image to join the two!
The pirate flag and anchor were from a die cut sheet by Craft Creations.
I used a memory box die (birthday pressie from Hubby!) to create the waves.

I'd like to enter the following challenges:-
Lillies Little Fairies - Anything but a Square
Make it Monday - Linky Party
C.R.A.F.T. Challenge - Shaped Card

Thanks for taking the time to stop by and for all your lovely comments, I really appreciate them.
