Mummy!

Good morning Everyone,
I can't believe it's the 1st October already! Where has the year gone!?? Anyway, we have a brand new challenge over at Without Words and this month our theme is.....

It was really  good to see all your gorgeous colouring last month.
The DT girls are so talented, I'm not quite sure why I'm on the team and after this months effort they might just kick me off!!
I've used an image from Mo's Digital Pencil called 'Mummy'

I've coloured him with my promarkers, cut him out and stuck him onto some black card.
The clouds are a memory box die and the backing paper is from my stash.
Good luck with this months challenge, I can't wait to see your creations.

Baby Balnket

Good Morning Everyone,
Last Friday morning my lovely Hubby drove all the way to Leeds so that I could visit the LOTV shop and I have to say ... it's GORGEOUS!! The rooms are very bright, there's a lovely atmosphere  and it's bursting with crafty stash!
I met the lovely Anne and the fabulous Dawny P too! I also had the best carrot cake I've had in ages!! lol
I bought one or two new stamps, two or three pads of paper and some dies!! I had to keep hold of a few pennies as I'm hoping to go to the Great Northern Papercrafting Extravaganza in Harrogate next week!!
I made today's card with one of the stamps I bought. This is 'Baby Blanket'.
She's coloured with promarkers. Most of you know that I colour quite dark so to keep just a hint of colour was very hard!!

I've used a 'daisy and swirls' embossing folder and finished with a bit of ribbon and some bling from my stash
I'd like to enter the following challenges:-
Lillies Little Fairies Challenge- White with a hint of colour
Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes

I also bought one of the new little Geisha girl stamps. I'm making a card 'just for fun' with this one but it's taking me longer than I thought!! lol It could be the end of the week before you actually see it!!
Thanks for visiting me today and for all your lovely comments. I'll be round to visit you all later!

Joanna Sheen DT Application

Hello Everyone,

A little while ago I applied for a DT position on the Joanna Sheen Challenge Blog.  A couple of weeks ago I was really shocked to find out that I'd been shortlisted to the final 12!!
The lovely Paula sent me some decoupage and matching backing papers to make a card with. This is what I came up with.
I used an 8" square card base and layered the papers with lilac card. I used a Spellbinders edgeability die for the border. The flowers is made with a Marainne Creatables die and I finished with some card candi and a bit of ribbon from my stash.

All the 12 finalists have made a card which can be found on the Joanna Sheen Challenge blog. The comments section will be open for one week so you can leave your views on the entries, before a final decision is made.

Wish me luck!
Lorraine x
