Mount Snowdon

I though I had better explain why my blog has been a tad quiet just lately.....

On Saturday I was part of a group including 100 children and their parents who climbed Mount Snowdon to raise money for Oscar's Paediatric Brain Tumour Charity. Oscar was one of my son's friends who died from a brain tumour 3 years ago, aged just 9 yrs.
The weather was horrendous with winds up to 70mph and torrential rain, I have never been so wet! Our Climb Snowdon guides had to make a decision that we wouldn't be able to climb to the summit because of the weather. (It was far too dangerous especially for the children). Although it was a tough walk, we were surrounded by friends and managed to raise money for a brilliant cause.

This does however mean that there are absolutely NO crafty makes on my blog!! I just didn't get the chance, and I have to admit I'm not that fit so I do ache a bit today!

Hope you had a good weekend.

That's one helluva walk, especially in that weather! But such a wonderful thing to do in memory of your son's friend. Well done!

Wow! A wonderful achievement Lorraine, you all did so well - such a shame the weather was so bad.
