Lili of the Valley in Papercraft Essentials

Hello Everyone,
It's been a bit mad here lately, and I'm not getting much crafting time! You may remember that both my children play cricket..well at the moment we have training on Friday night, Saturday morning, Sunday morning and Monday night...then today (thinking I had a day off) Emma comes home from school and says as it's not raining will I take her to the village nets to practice! So much for getting time to do a bit of colouring!
Anyway, just after Christmas Lisa at Lili of the Valley asked me to create seven cards for Papercraft Essentials magazine, using the fabulous Oliver and Jasmine stamps. The magazine is out now and I even made it onto the front cover even though it is a bit small!( right at the top, in the middle!)

Here are a couple of the cards...

Thanks for taking the time to visit my little blog today, I hope to have some cards to share with you soon

Aaaah...cricket, I remember the days!! It's fantastic when they have a passion for a sport. We couldn't wait for Connor to pass his driving test so that he could drive himself around Dorset to "nets" and games!!
It was lovely to see your cards in my copy, it's always exciting to see the work of someone you "know"!! Well done xx

Congratulations on being published Lorraine, the cards look fabulous !
I grew up with my Dad playing cricket in a local team at the weekends and my Mum took turns with the other wives to do the 'teas' which was like a mini buffet....do they still do that I wonder, us kids used to love it :)
Sorry getting all nostalgic there Lol
Hugs Kaz xx

Oh Lorraine, I am so pleased at your success (although not surprised)! It must be a thrill to see your work in such a well known publication....and on the front cover too. Tomorrow, I will ask my newsagent to put aside a copy for me when it arrives in Australia.

Yes, we did the "cricket thing" too when our son was young, and it must have paid off, because when he moved to London, he played for Australia House for a few years, so who knows what will become of Emma and Tom's passion in the future. It is great to know they are so passionate about their sport, instead of sitting for hours on end in front of a screen (be it TV or computer) like so many young ones today.

Once again, big CONGRATS on your success.

Hugs,
Jennifer. x

Brilliant cards Lorraine! What a treat to make the front cover and a gorgeous spread in the actual magazine too. I'm still waiting for this to hit NZ shores. So will enjoy a closer look when it does. Hope the cricket season settles into a more manageable routine! Sounds full on!! Hugs, Wends xoxo
