A lovely day at GNPE Harrogate

Hello Everyone,
I've had a few requests to show you the things that I bought at the GNPE at Harrogate on Sunday. So here goes...
One or two paper pads from Lili of the Valley. I was going to buy a few stamps but I got chatting to Anne and completely forgot about them! The reels of ribbon were from Meiflower.

And then a couple of embossing folders and one or two rubber stamps. The Whimsey stamps were on offer at only £3.50 each - what a bargain!
And then...mmm...
I thought they would come in handy for those DT projects, when it's 'anything but a card'....but I think they will still be in the cupboard this time next year!!

While I was wandering around the stalls ,I bumped into the lovely Mel from Create and Craft fame, and had a natter - What a lovely lady!

Right, I have to go out for a run now! and then Parents Evening at school later so I'll find out if my little munchkins behave themselves or not!! lol
Thanks for taking the time to visit and I'll try and catch up with you all later.

Abi and Pony

Hello Everyone,
I was hoping to get to GNPE at Harrogate today but unfortunately Hubby had to work, and I didn't really want to drag the two munchkins around the show!! I would have spent more time keeping an 'eye' on them than on all the crafty stash on show!! Anyway, fingers crossed I might get the chance to go for a couple of hours in the morning!!

I've got a very quick card to share today. This is 'Abi and Pony' from Digi Stamp Boutique. Sorry for the poor photo but it's been very grey here today! It looks much better and brighter in RL!

A Little Bit Shabby at A Little Bit Crafty!

Good Morning Everyone,
Firstly I'd like to say a big 'hello' to my new followers - I really appreciate you taking the time to visit my little blog, and secondly....It's October...what happened to the last 9 months???!!
It's time for a brand new challenge over at A Little Bit Crafty and this month the theme is...
                                          A LITTLE BIT SHABBY
Now, I'm not too good with the whole shabby/chic type of thing, but I had a go and here's my effort!
The image is one of the gorgeous fairies from the 'Return to Fairy Glen' collection. I've coloured her with promarkers and added lots of glitter to her fairy wings.

The background papers are from Melissa Frances - C'est la Vie.
I tried to give the card a bit of a distressed look but after a few attempts with sandpaper, I was the one distressed so I turned to the cheese grater! Then I thought I'd do a bit of stitching around the edges, but the sewing machine stitched it's last and I had to resort to a promarker fine liner pen! At least I had all the pretty flowers from the Ribbon Girl to fall back on.
I also used a MB cloud die, a MB Pippi butterfly die and the pearls and ribbon are from my stash.

This month we are sponsored by The Octopode Factory with a $10 gift certificate.
Our second sponsore is Hobbycutz with a £7.50 voucher

And last but not least is Crafty Sentiment Designs.

I'd like to enter the following challenges:-

A Creative Romance - Fairytale or Winged Creations
Sparkles Monthly Challenge - Fairies and or Butterflies
The Sugar Bowl - Anything Sugar Nellie
Stampin for the Weekend - Fairies and Fantasy
Crafty Catz - Birthdays
